The Real Reason I Miss the 80's

Our former President Ronald Reagan had some incredible insight. This was recorded in 1961, while still an actor and a budding political voice. Incidentally, he was saying these things during the same time his political views were changing; the next year he officially changed political parties and became a Republican.

Listen to what he says about socialized medicine. There's a line at the beginning that completely blew me away; let's see if you can spot it.

You are blowin it UP! Disappear for a year and return with a vengeance!

So...I'm not sure exactly what the phrase is that caught you specifically...but wow. Dead on. I guess my final thought is...isn't interesting it doesn't matter what the constituents want anymore? No matter who writes letters and goes out and makes their voices heard...but we can sit back and say.."My God is on His throne!"

The part that got me was this (as quoted from American socialist Norman Thomas:

"The American people would never vote for socialism. But under the name of Liberalism, the American public will adopt every fragment of the socialist program."

Under the name of Liberalism. It's the same ol' package wrapped in a pertier paper. What's it gonna take to WAKE UP America?!

"...abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power."

That is the way the enemy works. We, God's People has sat complacent and allowed the enemy his way. This is only the beginning unless God's People stop tolerating evil.

This is a great video my-Chel. :)
