I See What You're Saying! -- Second Edition

Well, here it is! This is such an exciting day for many of us in ye olde blogging world!

Special thanks to Lidna Linda over at 2nd Cup of Coffee for hosting this most memorable day. I can't wait to see everybody's video! If you hadn't decided whether or not you were going to do this, just DO IT! You know you want to.

Enjoy the vlog...and then go pay a visit to the other crazy participants at 2nd Cup!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What a great gift, the personal note in the back is wonderful! I love old books, too. I love anything written in the 1800's and early 1900's. Thanks for sharing!

Chel, I also love old books with inscriptions. I had to stop collecting them because I simply didn't have room, but they strike my fancy (to use an antiquated term) as they do yours. It's such a classic romantic notion, to think about the person who gave the gift, the recipient, etc., and what their relationship might have been. Thanks for the couple of generous shout outs and for doing this. I loved seeing your pretty face again! Blessings, Linda

I'm going to share this one with my 13 DD, she is diligently working on a short story on the computer, just for fun. She is a blossoming author and is constantly jotting down short stories and other anecdotes down on paper.

Now everyone one is going to want to know what happens in the story.....sounds like a future video post suggestion hint hint.....

Blessings
Robin

That is very interesting indeed. I am a bookworm, but I don't collect. It sounds like you have a very interesting collection. That book sounds like a good one.

Happy New Year!

How cool is that! Tell your husband I said, "Way to score major spouse-oidal brownie points, man!"

Hmmmm I have something sitting right here that I know you would love. Maybe that could be the first gift I give in the new year.

I think we should call Linda Lidna... trendy. LOL. I collect books but none of them are valuble. I just buy them in hopes of having time to read them someday.

Ooooooh. I have a collection too, but as a music person, it's older hymnals that I like. Each hymnal version goes through revisions where less popular songs are dropped and newer ones added. I hate the thought that some songs may be lost if no one keeps the old ones.

Anywho, thanks for posting about your book. Don't you just love thinking about the person who received that book and the one who gave it? Love it, love it, love it!

Hello, again. Thanks for stopping by. I answered your question under the posts, but thought I'd answer over here. I think the gold thing that you saw is the thermostat for the house - nothing fancy!!

Very cool gift. I like old books too. The more they are falling apart and discolored the pages are, the more I like them.

Michelle,
I enjoyed your story. What a wonderful gift.

Have you seen the movie "Definitely, Maybe"? One of the story lines is about a woman who collects books in search of one particular. As a book collector, you might appreciate it. As a divorced mother, I loved the movie. A father tells the story of how he met the little girl's mother... not a kids' movie by any means. But, I connected.

Oh, how I love old books too, and I have so many sitting on my bookcase!! I get so excited thinking about the hands that they have been in and the ones that read them by candlelight at night before bed!!

That is very cool Chel! I love reading and I love books (especially Christian books) but I do have a tendency to give them away when I run across someone who needs them. That makes it difficult for me to collect them. LOL.

Your book sounds fascinating and I kept waiting for you to read the story to us. Now we'll have to spend the rest of our lives wondering about this fantastic story that was written by a 13 year old girl. Geeez. :)

Glad I got to see you! Rich blessing for the New Year my friend!
